August was an interesting month for me, with starting school and finishing up extra observation hours and classes. It was hard to find some new monthly favorites, but I got some! Here they are!
Fashion & Beauty Favorites
These shoes are SO comfy. And they’re so versatile; they can be worn with anything. I’ve worn these on a night out or to a random day out. 10/10 would recommend!
Food & Drink Favorites
Jeni’s Ice Cream
Jeni’s ice cream is arguably the BEST ice cream I have ever had. The three flavors I have in that pic are the Frose, Brambleberry Crisp, and Rainbow Buttermilk Yogurt. You just have to try it. That’s it. Go grab a pint at the store and see for yourself. It’s worth the money, I promise.
This place is only located in Ohio (I am not from Ohio, i’m from Illinois) and we came to visit when my sister had a dance intensive in Columbus. It is the best fast-food type sushi I have ever had. The food is so fresh and you can make your own rolls! We got a roll with strawberry (yes, you read that right!) and it was SO good. It’s a food combo that I thought I would never have, but it was absolutely fantastic. If you are in Ohio, definitely check it out!
Entertainment & Lifestyle Favorites
The Papaya Podcast
I’m not a typical Podcast listener, but I came across this podcast through Instagram and I thought I’d give it a try. Needless to say, I LOVED it. Hosted by Sarah Nicole Landry, this podcast is so inspirational, motivating, and most importantly, so relatable. Her and her guests talk about things that we all relate to. Every episode I listen to, I find that she always speaks about things that I need to hear or can’t find the words to say. She really keeps it real, and that’s what I love about her podcast. If you’re struggling or if you’re not, listen to this podcast. She has episodes out weekly, and they’re amazing. Definitely give this a listen!
Re-Watching Dance Moms (lol)
For those of you that personally know me (or have seen my posts about dance) I have been a studio dancer for 15 years, have danced competitively for 8, and still continue to dance to this day. In every comp kids life, we have all watched Dance Moms. We were all in awe of the ALDC, but rewatching it for comedic purposes has been a favorite of mine this month. Why? Not sure. Watching it now compared to when I did compete is absolutely hilarious and ridiculous. So yeah that’s about it, and I like the OG girls and thats the tea.
This month has been pretty busy, so that’s why my list is a little short this month (so sorry!). I’m glad I got a few favorites in though. Hopefully next month’s is longer!
