If you know me personally I LOVE shopping (I 100% get it from my mom). When I was a little girl my mom used to take me to the mall and I’d be content. With that being said over the years my mom has taught me tricks of the trade for shopping (she also signs up for multiple rewards programs everywhere we go) so I have to give her full credit for that. With all that being said, with her help and my experience with it, I think it’s time to share my best shopping tips for you!
Head to the clearance section first
As some summer semi-annual sales come to an end, a lot of your new favorite pieces are going full price, but that does mean the piece you’ve been eyeing for a long time is finally reducing for a lower price! I know when you first walk into a store, it’s tempting to buy something cute for full price, but buyers remorse does exist. My point is, there’s always something that’s cute in the clearance section that you can get for a great price! Recently, I just got a tank top for everyday wear for $2 in the clearance section. You never know what you will find there!
Don’t buy anything that’s buy one, get one 50%
Why you may ask? Because it actually is a TERRIBLE deal. If you really think about it, you’re not even getting a huge discount on your purchase because one item is regular price and you have to pay full price for the most expensive item. So next time, try to steer away from that deal even though it’s common.
Sign up for emails/rewards programs
As stated in the beginning of the post from learning this from my mom is that she signs up for rewards programs. When signing up for rewards programs, you have the opportunity to get access to when sales are in the stores, and sometimes there are exclusive online sales too! If you sign up for rewards, most stores do the programs where if you spend a certain amount of money, you’ll get a discount or another reward to use. These programs will help you navigate sales and discounts more, and you will be some of the first to be notified!
Follow Influencers/Bloggers on social media!
I know that sounds very cheesy, but sometimes when you follow influencers and bloggers on social media, sometimes they’ll share coupon codes for online shopping or will let you know when one of their current pieces goes on sale. They’ll also tell you where they got their cute finds too; some of them a pretty budget friendly!
These were my easy tips to help with shopping! Now go hunt those sales and buy from your favorite brands at a better price!
